A vital part of any security solution is the choice of the right intruder detection system for residences. CSS Tactical stress that physical and electronic security should be thought of in layers – and the more layers the better.
CSS Tactical’s Technical Division aim is to ensure that you, the client, have the very best security and detection system available. Part of the CSS Tactical Service is to completely evaluate an existing installation and make recommendations on how it can be improved. This includes a thorough survey of the existing alarm system and a thorough analysis of the perimeter protection. We also study entry points including the electric gate system. Once we have concluded our evaluation we make recommendations to the client and, if required, carry out the complete updated installation. We pride ourselves in creating a tailor-made solution to suit our client’s needs. We find that a lot of client’s existing systems are old, out-dated and prone to false alarms and lightning damage. “We only recommend wireless burglar alarms and the present world leader in that market is the Paradox system from Canada. The best security encompasses much more than just an effective alarm within the client’s residence. It is obviously far better to be aware of intruders before they gain access to the home and perimeter alarms become an important factor. High well – lit walls with electric fencing or beams connected to our control centre are effective as are beams strategically placed within a garden or attached to exterior walls. CSS Tactical’s Technical Division provides a fast, professional service dedicated to ensuring that your alarm system always makes sure that help is just seconds away.
PROTECTING YOUR PERIMETER
The bigger your security “bubble” the better. Thus perimeter detection systems play an important role in giving early warning of an intruder. The following are some examples of perimeter security:
Electric Fencing – although this may not stop intruders from entering your premises it can and should be linked to the alarm system and any breach will thus be relayed to our control centre. Electric fences act as a great deterrent and physical barrier.
Motion detecting beams – these can be set up along the top of perimeter walling and at strategic locations in your garden.
Access Control - Ensuring that CSS Tactical has access to your property during emergency situations is vital. This can be done by installing “digipads” on perimeter gates and garages, which allow response teams to type in a secret code, which will give them access to your property.
Warning lights - LED activation lights and other products can be used to further enhance security.
Further effective security measures include CCTV cameras, remotely monitored CCTV and on-site guards may all be considered to further add to your protection. High walls or fences and heavy motorised gates should be used as physical perimeter barriers. Always ensure that your gate has been designed so it cannot be lifted off its rails and do not use laser that stop the gate closing when the beam is broken. The perimeter of your property, particularly around access points should be well lit and free of thick foliage, which may afford concealment for criminals.
